Dr. Rebecca Jackson

Veterinarian/Owner

I’d like to introduce the heart of our clinic, Dr. Rebecca Jackson.
Originally from Waterville New Brunswick, Dr. Jackson joined the clinic in 2008. In January of 2018, she became the new owner! She is the only veterinarian at the clinic. Her pets include FIVE cats - Mayhem, Mouse, Merlin, Mufasa three dogs, Feyte, Destiny and Kismet, lots of chickens and a few turkeys.

Nicki Combden

Practice Manager

the manager of our clinic, Nicki. Nicki wears many hats at our clinic. First and foremost she’s our practice manager. Starting her career at the clinic in march of 2010 and then again in April 2015, she is the most tenured employee. She has a vast amount of knowledge and dedication to her many jobs. From ordering, tech work, reception, helping our patients cross the rainbow bridge and being a pet food extraordinaire, Nicki does it all.
Nicki is a mom to her daughter, and has a chihuahua mix named Zuzu.

Natasha Oxford

Vet Technician

I’m introducing our head tech, Natasha!
Tash was born and raised in Goose Bay and started at the clinic in 2020. Prior to working here, she worked in St John’s as an assistant for a year. In 2022 she became our head tech!
Tash has two kids as well as a Great Dane named Callie, a Husky named Ranger adopted from the SPCA and a cat named Caveira!

Jennifer Wells

Receptionist

Jennifer joined the clinic in September 2021. Jennifer was born in Grand Falls - Windsor but raised in Happy Valley Goose Bay. She moved out west for a while but her love of the Big Land brought her back home. Jennifer has always had a love for animals and really enjoys being part of our team. Jennifer is enthusiastic to learn all that she can to help care for your pets. Jennifer also loves to sing around the clinic, so don't be surprised if you hear her when you come in for your appointment.

Jacqueline Kenny

Vet Technician

Jackie joined our team in January 2021 after she moved to Happy Valley Goose Bay in the Fall of 2020. She is originally from Nova Scotia. She is the owner and head trainer of Best Kind Dog Training. Jackie is trained in multiple areas of the clinic. She can be found working the front reception desk, assisting Dr. Jackson and the technicians or training in the back of the clinic. She has an adorable Fox Red Labrador named Tansy.

Shavonne Dyson

Vet Assistant

Shavonne started at the Valley Vet clinic in February 2022 as an assistant, and then moved up to tech!
Shavonne was born and raised in Goose Bay. She has an incredibly hard work ethic and dedication to her job and is quite literally a perfectionist. If your fur baby came through the clinic doors for surgery, bloodwork or nail trims, they’ve probably met her! Like a lot of the dogs we see come through, her bark is a lot bigger than her bite. Don’t let her fool you, she loves to baby talk and sing to every patient that comes in.
Shavonne has four American Bully’s (Brucie, Piper, Marv & Sybil) as well as a rabbit, and a gecko

Jessie

Clinic Cat

Jessie is one of our clinic cats who lives here and likes to greet people and their pets when they come in. She loves treats and attention, and she also likes to sneak in other cat's carriers when they are vacant. Jessie was adopted from the SPCA, she was brought back a couple of times before she found her forever home here with us in 2013.
